Year 6

We would like to welcome you back to what we know will be an EPIC Year.  We hope you are well and that the children are ready for another busy school year.

The Year 6 team this year are:

Mrs Blake as Year 5 and 6 lead.

6T - Mr Tookey

6H - Miss Huggins

Also in our team are: Mrs Lancaster, Mrs Mayow, Mrs Keddle, Miss Oakley and Miss Newman.

Reading

As a school we love to read and think this is really important.  It is the expectation that children read for 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week.  Please ensure that you sign your child’s reading record each day that they read.  The children must then return their record to school each day in order for their home reading to be recorded. The children can borrow books from their classroom or the school library. The children should be completing accelerated reader quizzes, when they have finished their book, and are working towards prizes in their class. As well as this, the children can earn badges for each time they read at home.

You can access accelerated reader here -

This term, we require the children to bring their PE kits into school on their outdoor PE day.
